Grace Farms

In honor of Kiana’s birthday, we decided to take another trip out of the city (maybe this will become tradition?) and this time the centerpiece of our day trip was the stunning Grace Farms. Stumbled onto mostly by accident, Grace Farms is a sort of enchanting utopian complex. The grounds were blanketed in snow, making the air feel quiet, though in summer one must imagine it can get rowdy with the cheers of soccer players and babble of visitors sprawled out across the grass. The main building of the complex are connected by a serpentine roof that provides shelter for people walking between the cafe and the library or the basketball courts and auditorium. Going into this, we were one hundred percent sure we were walking into a cult. After hanging out fro an hour we were still very suspicious, it was too cool, too expensive, too in the middle of nowhere not to be. It’s free to visit and would be the perfect place to come and study or relax on a weekend if you’ve got a car.
