Through the Desert

From living in New York for three years now, I’ve learned that I kind of hate the cold and when it gets dark at 4pm. Seasonal depression is real my friends. However! Music, thoughts of home (Los Angeles), and thoughts of the desert keep me going! Over the past few years, I’ve put together a playlist called Through the Desert. Through the Desert represents my everlasting love for driving and the desert, encapsulated in a Spotify playlist. One incredibly important song in the playlist is California Dreamin’ by The Mamas & The Papas.

All the leaves are brown
And the sky is grey
I've been for a walk
On a winter's day
I'd be safe and warm
If I was in L.A.

California dreamin'
On such a winter's day

This song represents my physical state in New York and I want to thank The Mamas & The Papas for getting me through my New York winters. Next time you’re driving through the desert, give it a listen.
